For me, Alt-Tabbing to another application and then back, sometimes
leaves traces of the underlying applications visible in the search
control. Earlier versions showed this around the hourglass icon; at
the moment it is only visible on the right side (just to the left of
the area where the white-on-red X appears once you give focus to the
control).
