Search the FAQ for 'author'. This will tell you how to set the author name
after you committed.

If you all got the same author name I guess it's 'anonymous', you have to
set up authentication on your server.

Are you talking about the proxy settings on the network tab? They have
nothing to do with the authentication against the repostitory, only with the
authentication against the proxy.

I suggest you spend some time reading the doc sections about server setup
and authentication.
