That's a great book, but it's off the scale in difficulty if you're not
extremely familiar with C++. I'm also of the opinion that much of it
represents powerful obfuscation techniques rather than practical ways of
writing easy-to-comprehend code.

IMO, the Scott Meyers books are a very useful way to increase ones existing
understanding of C++. http://www.accu.org/bookreviews/public/ is a source
of good reviews of books.
