I would vote to do this if possible. From what I've seen, if the code
hasn't changed, the check is fairly quick, so only the initial checkout
would take some time (and as pointed out you have to download these at
some point anyway). After that, only large data transfers would apply
when you updated to newer libs which I can't see happening that often.

It would certainly make maintaining things much easier as when you move
to a new version of wix or whatever, it will come down with the nightly.
