RE: [Subclipse-users] Harmful change in Subclipse 1.4 - why unversioned items are autocommited ???

It seems to me the setting when you first install could just be
unchecked, then it would retain the legacy behavior by default. But you
could still have the option to change it easily enough.

Mark,

I rechecked the items showing and it is works as expected. There were
other folders that also needed the svn:ignore. Sorry for the time
waste.

It seems safer to use the commit from the java perspective as it
eliminates the possibility of committing unversioned items as it
remembers the check status. Unforunately, its a subtle change that may
catch out users.

Cheers Greg

Anything that shows in the dialog and is selected should be committed.
That is the intent. However, things that are ignored should not
appear in the dialog or in the Synchronizing view. That is the point
of the ignore features after all. If you are seeing different, please
provide some details so we can focus on why the ignored items are
showing up for you.
