I was trying a fresh install of eclipse 3.1.1 and subclipse while you
were pulling the release and got the old version of subclipse. I now
have two installations of eclipse311 - the old version of subclipse is
working correctly using JavaSVN now and the new one does not work. Let
me know if there is anything I can check to help your investigation.
