I looked through some other parts of the site and it appears that subversion
does not support ssh yet.

I got rid of ssh and everything works now. Thanks for the tip.

As far as I know it is not using a native ssh client. Not sure. I'm not
using ssh. try looking at the archive. There were issues accoring ssh.
