My assumption is that Martin is working on the "internal" stuff still. I
doubt he is doing too much new actions or UI right now. If possible I
would suggest entering separate issues for things you want to work on, and
then "assign" them to yourself so that people know. Then you can also
just attach the patch to the issue when you are done.

All those things sounds good. If you start looking at the patch code,
there is an open issue about making "partial patches" out of the Pending
Operations view. If doing it from the Synch view provides that same basic
concept, that sounds good.
