Thanks for the rapid response.

My initial report should have been better phrased to ask you if the
win32 installer is supposed to install mod_dav_svn.so and
mod_authz_svn.so files into Apache's "modules" folder?

It doesn't on my XP box where Apache is installed in D:\Program
Files\Apache Group\Apache2\
I ran the Subversion Win32 RC Installer several times with and without
the old mod_dav_svn.so and mod_authz_svn.so files present in the modules
folder to see if that made any difference.

After hand copying those files from the new Subversion installation to
Apache's modules folder and restarting the Apache Service all works as
required.

Apart from that the installer appears to work as it should.
