Usernames with @ in them break groups in AuthzSVNAccessFile redux

Hi, I've asked about this on the users list but I didn't get any
responses other than "works for me". I need to have usernames of the
form user@domain.edu since I am using mod_auth_kerberos with apache
to authenticate repository users. Groups break in this example -- it
looks like they are being parsed wrong:

jcw9 = jcw9@ORLY.EDU
testgroup = @jcw9 test@ORLY.EDU
[/misc/test1]
* =
@testgroup = rw

----
[Mon Mar 13 11:58:27 2006] [error] [client 128.122.226.112] Failed to
load the AuthzSVNAccessFile: An authz rule refers to group 'jcw9
test@ORLY.EDU', which is undefined
[Mon Mar 13 11:58:27 2006] [error] [client 128.122.226.112] Access
denied: 'jcw9@ORLY.EDU' GET svn:/misc/test1
Switching the order of the testgroup line (`testgroup = test@ORLY.EDU
@jcw9`) still gives an access denied but without the
'AuthzSVNAccessFile' error.log entry.
If anyone would care to offer suggestions on figuring out the cause
of this, I'd appreciate it. My system is Mac OS 10.4.5 and
Darwinports packages for apache and svn.
