Apologies for the vagueness of the problems but my building skills began
with Clipper and then have a 30+ year break after that.

Novell's 'standard' compiler is (embarrassingly called) CodeWarrior and
is known from experience to being very pedantic. Yes (to answer Julian)
it does stop the build, and eventually tweaked that the easiest way was
(at the time) to set SVN_NEON_0_25 to '1' in svn_private_configure.

The correct method I'll leave to you to decide.

And once I get a reply from the Novell folks I'll take issue '2' up with
the 'Neon' folks.
