Berkely DB error opening environment.

Hello,

uname -a
Linux host.xxx.com 2.6.9-1.667 #1 Tue Nov 2 14:41:25 EST 2004 i686 i686 i386
GNU/Linux

Subversion installed with yum
version 2.1.11

Subversion Version
1.1.4-1.1

I'm not sure what version of the Berkeley
DB nor do I know how to obtain that information. I did install this 1 week
ago and the dependency was handled by yum.

Permissions on repository are

drwxrwxr-- 2 svn svn 4096 Jul 6 14:47 conf/
drwxrwxr-- 2 svn svn 4096 Jul 6 14:47 dav/
drwxrwxr-- 2 svn svn 4096 Jul 10 13:36 db/
-rwxrwxr-- 1 svn svn 2 Jul 6 14:47 format*
drwxrwxr-- 2 svn svn 4096 Jul 6 14:47 hooks/
drwxrwxr-- 2 svn svn 4096 Jul 6 14:47 locks/
-rwxrwxr-- 1 svn svn 379 Jul 6 14:47 README.txt*

Using ssh only with tortoisesSVN 1.2.0.3602 for win2k/xp.

Received Error on Repository Browser:
"Error Berkeley DB error while opening environment for filesystem
/xxx/xxx/db: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recover bdb: PANIC:
fatal region error detected; run recovery"

With another user on checkout received same error.

I have run the command to fix the database as described in the documentation
for subversion.

What could be causing this; it seems to be a bug.

Best,

Steve Hardin
