Yes I did follow this. I checked the umask of the respective uses using
the repository and they are all the same so there are no inconsistances
there. I will use the wrapper script as something may be getting
mangled there, but because all the umasks are correct it shouldn't
change anything.

I will try this and see if there are any more problems.

Did you follow the 'svn+ssh checklist' box at the very end of chapter
6, which the FAQ points to? That's as specific as it gets.
