I didn't like all the complaints I was getting for the conflicts caused by
trying to support a BDB 4.2.X on a system that had 4.1.X on it, and I
agreed with the complaints.

None of my options seemed good to me.

BDB 4.1.25 is built in to Apache so if 4.2.52 is to be used then an
updated version of apache has to be built. If that is true then that
affects PHP and any other modules that depend on Apache.

However, if we can think up some way to make Subversion use 4.2.52 through
Apache that doesn't mean installing a new version of Apache/APR/APR-UTIL
then I'm all ears.

4.1.X has stability problems from all the talk I've heard so just
compiling with the existing 4.1.X didn't seem to be an option either.

I'm just finishing up converting all my 1.1.4 repositories from BDB to
FSFS so I can upgrade to 1.2 when the time comes in a few weeks.

If there is a better way, please let's work on figuring it out.

Max, I can give you an account on my devel machine probably tonight if
that would help.

Let me know.
