How much more notice is needed? Max has been asking people to do
finish 1.1.4 for weeks on this list. His last mail was dated March 26
-- five days ago -- saying, "STATUS file is empty, let's release."
There haven't been any merges since. I wouldn't call the rolling of
today's tarball "hasty" by any standard!

Maybe the problem here is that translators need an explicit nudge,
despite the other emails on this list?
