While that's a good reason, the fact that the fs format is not an
opaque binary blob is a pretty good one too. I always regarded the
opaqueness of BDB as the single most worrying flaw in the Subversion
architecture. I am delighted to see fsfs reaching production.

+1, but without any conviction that my vote ought to be significant
as I am not a developer.
