I think "stone walling" is a bit strong -- it implies a refusal to
engage or discuss the issue, which is not at all what happened.
Developers were quite open & willing to discuss their reasons for not
releasing the fix immediately. (We may have been wrong, but that's
*not* the same as stonewalling :-) ).

As you probably know, a release process is now under way, so the
problem will be solved soon.
