You are right. Stone walling was too strong. I went back and checked the
thread about 1.0.9 and 1.1.1 to make sure I had the complete picture. I had
followed the part of the thread that looked like 'stone walling' to me but
there appear to be more messages in favor of releasing 1.1.1 sooner than
anticipated.

Back to the release process... in the old days, releases were slightly more
predictable because there was a schedule posted on the website
(http://subversion.tigris.org/roadmap.html) but I see we must rely on the
dev mail list and the issue tracker for information. I think the community
would be served best by posting a best guess roadmap that is updated often
based on consensus so that users don't have to sift through the mail list
(whose archives aren't very convenient to use at the moment-search is
broken) to figure it out.
