Heh, this choice between "commit" and "check in" is probably as old as
version control. Now, in Slovenian translations, we tend to look for
terms that don't have foreign roots; we'd never consider using either
"commit" or "check in" in the translation, but would look at the meaning
and find something along the lines of "save" or "store" or "keep". The
fact that you already use "check in" in the language shouldn't constrain
you, unless it's already an accepted term for version control.
