I *did* review them. I didn't get THAT aspect of it just from reading
it. What's obvious to you, may not be to everyone else. We can't all be
equally insightful.

I need one voice with final say on what the log message should be. I
can't sit here repeatedly making changes to the log message just because
the next person thinks it should be purple. Obviously there should be a
consensus.

If you all can interpret the HACKING file differently, and I can
interpret it two different ways, by reading it with two different
mind-sets, how am I supposed to know what to do? If everyone feels the
log message needs to be different, how can I figure out the acceptable
minimum???

If you go reread the HACKING file, you will notice there is absolutely
nothing about summarizing at the beginning of a log message. The
self-same vaunted HACKING file everyone keeps referring me to.

I haven't been reading this stuff for 3 years. Volunteer some time and
maybe I can get up to speed sooner.
