Not quite what I meant. To be precise:

I don't think it has much chance of getting in _unless_ some committer
agrees that it's important and commits to shepherding it. If someone
can do that, then the work will get done. (Not a very controversial
stand, as you can see! :-) ).

I couldn't tell if Greg Hudson was saying he wanted to take it on, or
just that he thought it was important...
