So ... if not 100%, then how much? :-)

Seriously, we could bat this issue around for weeks trying to make
diff do everything possible, but I think our only real responsibility
is to solve the most common use-cases without cutting off the ability
for folks to write scripts for their specific use-cases (that we don't
support directly).
