I don't want to echo Brane's strong language (this thread has had
enough of that)... But I do want to agree with his sentiment.

Maru, there are thousands of Subversion users out there. We did not
arrive at our current feature set by implementing the union of all
requested features, and Subversion would be unmaintainable if we had.

We decided to attach log messages to revisions, not to individual file
changes, after long & frustrating experience with CVS. The decision
wasn't groundless, and the majority of users seem very happy with it.

If one or two users post saying they want to do things differently,
that doesn't indicate a problem in the decision-making process. It
may indicate that those users shouldn't choose Subversion -- or that
they should try doing things Subversion's way and see if they like it.
