No, we can't. Bill's change is a fairly hefty one (not so much in
code thrash, but conceptually), and I'm not going to rush the review
of that. I *am* in the process of reviewing it, though.

As for schema changes, why would we need "yet another" ? Glenn's work
isn't about changing the schema -- it's about changing the code. To
date, the only schema change I am aware of is the 1003 branch.

That said, Glenn, I don't think Bill's work will interfere with the
first of your three listed tasks -- in other words, I don't think the
issue 1003 branch will be of any real interest to you.
