I just added a long description to issue #730 about the bugs that do
happen.

The first one is not exactly a theoretical issue, since there's
nothing wrong as such - but it is a problem. And the second is an edge
case - since 'missing' directories in general are quite an edge case -
but it is a theoretical problem, I think.
