Ooh, great! One less requirement on Windows. And now I can congratulate
myself for procrastinating -- I'd meant to rewrite those thests in
Python for a looong time, but my stomach turned every time I looked at
them. :-)

Of course, that does mean we don't have a tree-patch format any more.
