Luckily it wasn't a great tree-patch format anyway, and probably our
support code was buggy since we didn't exercise it much in real life.
We would do better to adopt an existing format, and extend it as
necessary (as has been discussed here before).
But: it does look like ra_pipe depends on it right now. Maybe the
ra_pipe developers can say how integral it is, and/or convert that
editor?
