Says who?

"Replacing CVS" is indistinguishable from a shaggy-dog story. There's
no criterea for success other than the comfort level of the core
developers. There's no concisely expressed specification being aimed
for -- we shouldn't even be confident that, while those 100 or so open
issues are being processed, there won't be major new "discoveries"
about _additional_ work needed pre-1.0.

On the other hand, there _are_ influential project managers trying to
plan large-scale SCM needs for a ways out into the future.
An imperfect but tractably comprehensive and reasonably stable
solution is exactly what those project managers need.

But please, let's drop the topic -- the project manager has spoken.
Take it to arch-users.
