date-based revision lookup

Just a query from #subversion, made here by proxy:

Why does libsvn_ra_dav fail when you pass in a date? It says that
date-based operations are not implemented yet; however, libsvn_ra_local
just calls svn_repos_dated_revision(). Is it a limitation imposed by the
DAV interface, code which just hasn't been updated yet, or am I missing
something?
