"Should"?

You moved from "Request for mailing list split" to "Should be multiple
lists" in about 4 emails. Most impressive.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa there Tex. Jon was honestly trying to be
helpful--he even apologized that you might have misunderstood his
initial message--and now you're getting all testy because you're not
getting the answer you want. I don't think that this current line of
discussion is going to accomplish anything except piss people off.

Let's try this again, OK?

I see your dilemma--you do not want to have to filter unwanted commit
messages from your mailbox for your reasons. That leaves only one
option if you want to remain subscribed to the svn commit mailing
list:

- We can split off commit emails in /clients to another list.

I for one am -0.5 on this happening. It's going to require a good bit
of work on the part of those who maintain the Subversion
infrastructure--tweak the commit mailer, set up a new list, subscribe
everyone to it, etc., and people are working their tails off to make
beta happen within a reasonable timeframe.

Perhaps instead of flaming someone who tried to help you, you can
offer a patch to the commit mailer to get the ball rolling?
