Let me provide more background information.

Some of us (myself included) still live in "56K modem with really small
ISP email quota" land. The 'svn' list attaches the entire diff for every
commit. The result is that very few 'svn' emails can quickly equal or
pass numerous 'dev' emails. Every project added to /clients just makes
this worse. So splitting the list really helps people in my situation.

Sorry I didn't include this explanation in the earlier email.
