Right now, checkouts are not restartable (see
http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=730 for the discussion).
So there is no way to do this right now. If the checkout fails, you have to
delete your working copy and try again. Sorry.

Some ideas of how to fix this have already been developed, but the issue might
not be fixed until after Subversion 1.0 has been released.

Personally I'd like to see this fixed (even though I have a cable modem).
It's one of the very few places where Subversion is worse than CVS. Scott,
start badgering the team to make this a pre-1.0 issue :-> (ok, don't badger
too hard, we want them to fix all the other bugs too).
