If I could get OS X to stop hanging with SVN, I would...

FWIW, I got the hang again, so toss out my earlier comments about it
not happening. I'm beginning to suspect it might have something to
do with Norton AntiVirus 8.0. I dunno, but I'm really grasping at
straws here. I think it's gone, but it comes back. Grr.

In reality, getting SVN to work on OS X is no different than any *BSD
system. The biggest problem is that autoconf and libtool are broken
in GNU stock releases (and, at last word, we do not expect Apple to
bundle fixes in Jaguar). The README.platforms file in httpd-2.0
covers these points. And, the fact that GNU libtool has trouble
sourcing shell scripts on Darwin makes compilation times atrocious.

Since my Linux box died (CPU died), I'm now on Darwin exclusively,
so I'm trying to focus on the OS X side of things as much as I
can. -- justin
