Well, at least it's not just me. I was beginning to wonder... actually
given that I'm probably the only person without fink maybe it *is* just
me. But I still think svn/INSTALL should be updated to include all the
extra bits that are required under OS X.

Sorry, yes. Typo. I have 2.52, the docs say 2.50+ is required, it seems
2.53 is required.

Ah, I saw an automake available in the same place as autconf and
libtool. I'll go grab it, thanks. And I'll grab autoconf 2.53 *grumble
lame svn/INSTALL file*.

Thanks for the confirmation on this. I don't know if my version would
have worked once I got to that point or not, I suspect given the
problems with neon that it didn't. Perhaps the absense of texinfo should
only cause warnings when the documentation doesn't get built.
