I first heard of vc-directory when you mentioned it earlier. I
took a look, but it doesn't look very interesting to me. pcl-cvs
matches cvs's (and svn's model) better. vc-directory appears to
show ls output, just like dired. I want the output from cvs or
svn, not ls.

You suggested improving vc-directory. I suspect it would be more
fruitful to make pcvs less cvs-dependant.
