Suggestion for all of us:

Since we're not working on this feature right now, let's please just
put any comments/thoughts/suggestions directly into the issue

   http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=516

rather than keeping the topic alive on the dev list. That way, when
we do start work on it, all the ideas will be right there.
