Actually, I've been ill and therefore offline ... :-(
Just got back to the world of the living today (cough, cough).

At first glance, reworking the vdelta stuff should be straight-
forward. vcdiff is a just jumble of questions and ideas right now.

Greg, give me until tomorrow to catch up and repolarize my neurons,
then we can discuss what needs to be done and how to divide the work.
