OK. That is what I would expect and what it should be doing. What is
the question?

If you have edited the httpd.conf file at all then it is kind of up to
you to make sure the configuration is correct and will give you a
working server. You are no longer allowing SVN Edge to manage the
server and write a correct configuration for you.
