That's probably the source of the problem. Delete the alias, then verify that the repositories work with a Subversion client.

Assuming they do, find another way to construct the directory index, for example with a script you write in a language like PHP.

Subversion clients cannot show you lists of repositories. They can only show you contents of repositories.
