It currently has 2 of the 3 required votes (see
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/subversion/branches/1.6.x/STATUS). I
have previously looked at the branch (and built it), but didn't have
time to review it in detail yet. I'll try to take another look tonight
so this can be backported ...
