What's the exact command that you're running for diff or log? And
what's the error message (if any) that you get from your svn client?

Johan
I run diff from the command prompt with:
d:\project> svn diff readme.txt -r 8
The error messages I get when trying to diff is:
svn: Unreadable path encountered; access denied
For log I run:
d:\project> svn log readme.txt
And then I get the following error message:
svn: Item is not readable
