No, i haven't heard, nor I can imagine such mechanics.
Subversion is not intended to be archiving tool, it is version control tool.
Controls changes made to the same entity.

P.S.
Please fix your email client. 100 kilobytes message for a few lines of text is
ridiculous!!!!!!!
