error with svn 1.4.4

While trying to check out an svn repository, I get the following error
with svn 1.4.4:

svn: In directory 'clas/trunk/simulation/generators/aao/allk'
svn: Can't copy 'clas/trunk/simulation/generators/aao/allk/.svn/tmp/
text-base/allk.F.svn-base' to 'clas/trunk/simulation/generators/aao/
allk/.svn/tmp/allk.F.tmp.tmp': No such file or directory

This error occurs with svn version 1.4.4, but not with version 1.4.2

Can anyone give me a hint to what is wrong?
