If you're running on Windows I suggest creating a batch file SV.BAT...

Svn %*

Now you don't have to type in the full SVN. Wow, I've just improved my output by 33%! ;o)

   As already posted, it represents SubVersionN. That's the application's
name and the abbreviation is easily recognized for the spelled-out word.

   Ah! Because you cannot accept the developers' choice of abbreviation
everyone else should adopt to you? Feh!

   If you're so wrapped up in application names and abbreviations, consider
how to say PostgreSQL, SQLite, and LaTeX (which is not rubber).

   Must be a slow weekend in western Europe, eh? :-)
