Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the offer of help...
Though I have just gone and uninstalled VSE 2008 and am currently
downgrading the SDK to one that supports VS6.
Ultimately I don't care how it gets built, just so long as it works.
I have a few spare boxes here that are connected to the www all the
time so I figured I would volunteer them to the buildbot farm.
One is a windows 2003 server that I note is not currently in the
buildbot farm,
One is a Mac (OS x 10.5 - though I do have an older Power Mac - if
that should be required as an option in the farm.
And I also have an old pizza-box (1 RU) server, doing absolutely
nothing at all - that could be configured whatever flavor is required
at all.
I have a had a brief email discussion with Lieven, and am just in the
process of ensuring that I can get SVN to build on the boxes before he
provides me with the relevant buildbot-slave details.
I never would have assumed that it would take me over a week to get it
going..
But that's not necessarily anyone's fault...
As I said in my original posting, I have never had to build / make
anything - so learning how to build ANYTHING is likely to have taken a
significant learning curve anyway.
(add in the dependencies - and I suppose a week for a complete newbie
- isn't too bad afterrall....)
Anyway - thanks again....
