Subversion working copy not updating properly

Hi,

SVN update is not fetching all files or directory in the version
controlled directory and it doesn't mention that these haven't been
fetched. Nothing strange appears to have happened in the mean time (e.g.
machine crashes, strange subversion reports, etc.).

Fresh checkout to new directory appears to work fine. Old directory
still doesn't work. Doesn't happen to all working copies, just to a few
(i.e. more than once on my machine with different projects).

Some working copy folders were pre-v1.6 copies - but not all (i.e. it
has happened on v1.6 copies). Haven't had this problem on previous
versions (v1.3, 1.4, 1.5).

Doesn't appear to be a sparse checkout (and svn up --depth infinity
didn't help)

Svn info doesn't show anything strange.

Svn status -u -v doesn't show anything strange - and doesn't show the
missing files.

I'm now not the only one who has seen this: at least 2 other people here
have had what appear to be identical failures.

Anyone got any ideas about what might be happening?

Regards,
Rob
