The book

Hi, sorry to be on the wrong list but I posted 5 messages to the book
list last weekend and none of them made it (admittedly it would have
been just two messages if I had put my brain in gear before switching on
my laptop)

So attached is a composite patch for the book. summary:

1) it is claimed in the write-through proxy section that redirecting
stdout/stderr of the post-commit and post-revprop-change scripts to
/dev/null causes them to run in the background and that the client won't
wait for them to finish. In my experience (Ubuntu server) a & character
must also be appended to the commands to achieve this

2) file url should have three / characters when specifying an absolute
path (again in write-through proxy examples)

3) build instructions for the book - make is found in the system path,
not the current working directory - changed ./make to make
