I need to install Subversion 1.6.1 on AIX 5.3 box, please suggest me
what are procedure and steps involved.

Please email me the links from where I can download the correct Client
version 1.6.1 Email me the steps so that my install gets successfully.

Hope Subversion 1.6.1 client dose NOT require Apache to be installed on
the box.?

I'm not aware of any SVN 1.6.1 downloads yet available for AIX. The
only prebuilt download I know of is the one here:

   http://www.open.collab.net/downloads/community/

... but it's still at SVN 1.4.6.

You might try asking in users_at_subversion.tigris.org, or in
users_at_svnbinaries.open.collab.net
