I'm using Subversion in one building and StarTeam in another. Subversion is fine. StarTeam seems to be OK as long you have a stable development team and never need to upgrade it. The current attempt to upgrade StarTeam has been a nightmare for the sysadmins and SCM person involved. Based on this alone, I would never recommend StarTeam.

I am getting up to speed on Subversion to hopefully replace StarTeam. So far, I find it intuitive and easy to use.
