subversion 1.6.1 / Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (32-Bit) (Hardy Heron)

Hi,

currently I could only find Subversion 1.4.6 for Ubuntu and in the source I
could not find a Ubuntu distibution..
So my question:
Is Subversion 1.6.1 already available or ready for Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (32-Bit)
(Hardy Heron)?
If so, how could I find it or manage to compile the sources?
If not, is there a plan for Ubuntu support for the current version of
Subversion (pls. with estimated date)?
